Download the App
Jtek runs on the "Lead Connector" mobile app, available on both iPhone and Android. You log in with your Jtek credentials — no separate account needed.
- Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) — Tap the store app on your home screen to open it.
- Search for "Lead Connector" — Type "Lead Connector" in the search bar. The app is published by Jtek and has a blue icon. Do not download any other app with a similar name.
- Tap "Get" or "Install" and wait for the download to complete — The app is free. Installation takes under a minute on a standard connection.
- Open the app and tap "Sign In" — Do not tap "Sign Up" — your account already exists through Jtek. Tap Sign In instead.
- Enter your Jtek email address and password — Use the same credentials you use at app.jtek.pro. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset it via email.
- Select your Jtek sub-account when prompted — If your email is linked to multiple accounts, a list will appear. Tap your Jtek account to enter the correct workspace.
- Confirm you can see your contacts and conversations — Browse to Contacts and Conversations to confirm your data is syncing correctly. If the screens look empty, pull down to refresh.
Turn On Push Notifications
Push notifications alert you the moment a new lead comes in, a contact replies to your message, or an appointment is booked. This is how you respond in under 5 minutes — which dramatically increases your lead conversion rate.
- When the app first opens, accept the notification permission prompt — iOS and Android will immediately ask if you want to allow notifications. Tap "Allow." If you accidentally tapped "Don't Allow," you can re-enable it in your phone's settings.
- On iPhone: go to Settings > Lead Connector > Notifications — Toggle "Allow Notifications" on. Enable Alerts, Sounds, and Badges for the most complete notification experience.
- On Android: go to Settings > Apps > Lead Connector > Notifications — Toggle on all notification categories. Make sure "New Conversations" and "New Messages" are enabled.
- Inside the app, go to Settings > Notifications — Jtek's in-app notification settings let you control which specific events trigger a push: new contacts, new messages, new appointments, missed calls. Turn on all of these when starting out.
- Test by sending yourself a message from the web version — Log into app.jtek.pro on your computer, go to Conversations, and send a test message to a contact. Within a few seconds, you should see a push notification on your phone.
Making and Receiving Calls
You can make and receive calls directly from the Lead Connector app. Your leads see your Jtek phone number, not your personal cell — protecting your privacy and keeping all call records in Jtek.
- Open the app and go to Conversations — Find the contact you want to call. Tap their name to open the conversation thread.
- Tap the phone icon in the top right — This initiates a call to the contact's phone number directly through your Jtek number. Your caller ID will show your Jtek local number.
- Alternatively, go to the Contacts tab and tap any contact's phone number — You'll be given the option to call through Lead Connector (Jtek) or your personal phone. Always choose Lead Connector so the call is logged.
- When receiving an inbound call on your Jtek number — The Lead Connector app will ring and show a notification. Answer through the app to keep the call tracked and recorded in Jtek. If you miss it, the call will go to your Jtek voicemail.
- Find call recordings in the contact's activity feed — After the call, go to the contact's profile in Jtek. Under the Activity tab, you'll see the call log including duration and a recording link (if recording is enabled in your settings).
Sending SMS from Your Phone
Reply to leads via SMS from anywhere using the Lead Connector app. Messages go out from your Jtek number and are logged in the contact's conversation thread — just like on desktop.
- Open the Lead Connector app and go to Conversations — Your full conversation inbox appears here, showing all active threads sorted by most recent. Unread messages appear with a bold indicator.
- Tap a conversation to open it — The full message history with that contact appears, including SMS, email, and any other channel messages in a unified thread.
- Type your message in the text field at the bottom and tap Send — Your message goes out from your Jtek phone number. The contact receives it as a standard SMS from your local number.
- Use templates to reply faster — Tap the lightning bolt icon in the message compose bar to access your saved SMS templates. Select one and it will populate the text field for quick editing before sending.
- To start a new conversation from scratch, tap the compose icon — In the Conversations tab, tap the pencil/compose icon in the top right. Search for a contact by name or phone number, select them, and type your message.
- Receive and reply to inbound messages — When a contact texts your Jtek number, a push notification arrives. Tap it to open the conversation and reply directly. The message is logged in Jtek automatically — no manual entry required.
