Getting Started

Setting Up Your Business Profile

Make Jtek look and feel like your business from day one.

1

Add Your Business Information

Your business information is the foundation of everything Jtek sends out — from emails to SMS footers to call records. Take 5 minutes to fill this in completely.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Business Info — Click the gear icon in the bottom left of the sidebar, then select "Business Info" from the settings navigation.
  2. Enter your business name — Use the full name your clients know you by. If you operate under a DBA or team name, use that (e.g., "The Martinez Team at Keller Williams"). This name appears on outbound communications.
  3. Enter your business address — Use your office address or, if you're a solo agent, your brokerage address. This is required for CAN-SPAM compliance on any emails sent through Jtek.
  4. Enter your main business phone number — This is different from your Jtek dial-in number. This is the number that appears in your email signature and contact information for clients.
  5. Add your website URL — Include the full URL including https:// (e.g., https://www.yourwebsite.com). Jtek uses this in certain email templates.
  6. Select your correct time zone — This is critical for automations, drip campaigns, and calendar scheduling. Select from the dropdown and double-check it before saving.
  7. Click Save Changes — A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen. If you see an error, check all required fields are filled.

Tip: Federal law (CAN-SPAM) requires a physical mailing address in commercial emails. Jtek automatically appends your business address to email footers — so make sure it's accurate.

Upload Your Logo

Your logo appears in email headers sent from Jtek, making your communications look professional and on-brand. Here's how to upload it correctly.

  1. Prepare your logo file — Jtek supports PNG and JPG formats. PNG with a transparent background is preferred so the logo looks clean on any email background color. Recommended minimum size: 400x400 pixels. Maximum file size: 5MB.
  2. Go to Settings > Business Info — Scroll down until you see the "Business Logo" section with an upload area.
  3. Click "Upload Logo" and select your file — A file browser will open. Navigate to your logo file and click Open. Jtek will show a preview immediately after upload.
  4. Confirm the preview looks correct — Check that the logo isn't cropped, distorted, or blurry. If it looks off, try a higher-resolution version of the file.
  5. Save your changes — Click Save Changes at the top of the page. Your logo is now applied to all new outbound emails from Jtek.

Tip: If your logo has a white background and the email template also has a white background, it will blend in perfectly. But if you ever change your email template color, use a PNG with a transparent background to avoid a white box around the logo.

Set Your Business Hours

Business hours tell Jtek when it's appropriate to send automated messages and when your calendar is open for bookings. Setting them correctly prevents leads from getting 2am texts.

  1. Go to Settings > Business Hours — In the settings navigation, find and click "Business Hours."
  2. Toggle each day on or off — Check the toggle next to each day of the week you operate. Most agents enable Monday through Saturday. If you take Sundays off, toggle that day off.
  3. Set your open and close times for each day — Use the time dropdowns to set start and end times. A typical setup is 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays.
  4. Understand how this affects automations — When you build automated follow-up sequences in Jtek, you can enable "Send during business hours only." This delays any messages scheduled outside your hours until the next business day. This is strongly recommended for SMS to avoid coming across as intrusive.
  5. Understand how this affects your calendar — Jtek's booking calendar uses your business hours to determine when appointment slots are available. If your hours don't match your actual availability, leads may be able to book times you can't keep.
  6. Save your business hours — Click Save when done. Changes take effect on any future automation runs and calendar opens.
Tip: Even if you personally respond to leads at all hours, set your Jtek business hours to reasonable times. Automated messages sent at midnight feel spammy and lower engagement rates. Respect the schedule you set here in all automation sequences.

Configure Your Email Reply-To Address

When contacts receive emails from Jtek and hit "Reply," you control exactly where those replies go. Set this up so you never miss a response.

  1. Go to Settings > Email Services — In the settings navigation, find "Email" or "Email Services."
  2. Find the "Reply-To Email" field — This is the address contacts see as the sender and the address their replies go to. It does not have to be the same as your Jtek login email.
  3. Enter your preferred reply-to email — Use an email you check regularly (e.g., yourname@yourbroker.com or a dedicated business email). Avoid using a generic "@gmail.com" address — it looks unprofessional and may affect deliverability.
  4. Set your "From Name" — This is what contacts see in the "From:" line of the email. Use your full name or your team name (e.g., "Alex Torres — Coastal Properties"). Avoid using just "Jtek" or "No Reply."
  5. Send a test email to yourself — Many email platforms have a "Send Test" button. Send a test to your personal inbox, verify how it looks, and confirm the Reply-To address is correct by replying to the test.
  6. Save your settings — Click Save. All future emails sent through Jtek will use these settings.

Important: Replies from contacts go to your reply-to email, not into your Jtek inbox. Check that email regularly, or set up a forwarding rule to a shared inbox if your team handles replies together.

Add Your Social Media Links

Adding your social media profiles to Jtek allows them to be included in email templates, your booking page, and other client-facing materials automatically.

  1. Go to Settings > Business Info — Scroll to the "Social Media" section near the bottom of the page.
  2. Add your Facebook Page URL — Go to your Facebook Business Page, copy the full URL from the browser (e.g., https://www.facebook.com/yourpagename), and paste it into the Facebook field in Jtek.
  3. Add your Instagram profile URL — Copy your Instagram profile URL (e.g., https://www.instagram.com/yourhandle) and paste it into the Instagram field.
  4. Add your Google Business Profile URL — In Google Search, find your business profile and copy the URL from the "Share" button inside your Google Business dashboard. This allows Jtek to link clients directly to your Google reviews.
  5. Add LinkedIn if applicable — If you use LinkedIn for business development, add your profile or company page URL here as well.
  6. Save your changes — Click Save Changes. Your social links are now available in email template editors under the "Social Links" block.
Tip: Adding your Google Business Profile link to your post-closing email is a great way to passively collect reviews from happy clients. A Jtek automation can send this link automatically 3–7 days after a deal closes.
