Why Use a Custom Domain
By default, your Jtek funnels live on a generic Jtek URL. A custom domain replaces that with your own branded address — which looks more professional and builds trust with leads.
- Professionalism and trust — A URL like
homes.yourteam.comtells leads they're on a page from you specifically. Generic platform URLs can look like spam or phishing to cautious leads. - Brand consistency — Your domain matches your email address, business cards, and other marketing. Everything points to the same brand identity.
- Ad platform approval — Some ad platforms (Meta, Google) require landing pages to be on a domain that matches the business name in the ad. A custom domain removes that friction.
- Custom subdomains for campaigns — You don't need a new domain — you can use a subdomain of one you already own. For example:
offers.yourrealtybrand.comorschedule.yourname.com - One domain, multiple funnels — Once a domain is connected to Jtek, you can assign it to multiple funnels using different paths (e.g.,
/buyers,/sellers).
Purchasing or Using an Existing Domain
You need to own the domain (or subdomain) before you can connect it to Jtek. Jtek does not sell domains — you purchase and manage them through a third-party registrar.
- Check if you already have a domain — If you have a business website, you likely already own a domain. You can use a subdomain of that domain (e.g.,
offers.yourdomain.com) without buying anything new. - Purchase a new domain if needed — Any major registrar works: GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or Cloudflare Registrar. Prices typically range from $10–$20/year for a .com domain.
- Keep track of your registrar login — You'll need to log in to your registrar's dashboard to update DNS settings in a later step. Make sure you know your credentials before starting the Jtek setup.
- Decide: root domain or subdomain — A root domain (yourdomain.com) can only point to one place at a time. A subdomain (leads.yourdomain.com) lets you keep your existing site and add Jtek separately.
- Jtek supports any domain registrar — There's no required registrar. As long as you can access your DNS settings, you can connect the domain to Jtek.
Adding Your Domain in Jtek
Before you update your DNS, you first register the domain inside Jtek. This generates the CNAME record you'll need to add to your registrar.
- Go to Settings → Domains — In the left sidebar, click Settings, then select Domains from the settings menu.
- Click "+ Add Domain" — A form appears asking for your domain.
- Enter your domain or subdomain — Type the full domain you want to use (e.g.,
offers.yourbusiness.com). Do not include "https://" — just the domain itself. - Click Add — Jtek saves the domain and shows you the DNS record you need to add to verify ownership and point the domain to Jtek's servers.
- Copy the CNAME record details — You'll see a Name (or Host) field and a Value (or Points To) field. Keep this screen open — you'll need these values in the next step.
Updating Your DNS Records
This is the step that actually connects your domain to Jtek. You'll log into your domain registrar's dashboard and add the CNAME record Jtek provided.
- Log into your domain registrar — Go to GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or wherever your domain is registered. Find your domain in the dashboard.
- Open DNS settings for your domain — Look for "DNS," "DNS Management," "Zone Editor," or "Advanced DNS" in the domain settings. The exact label varies by registrar.
- Add a new CNAME record — Click "Add Record" and select CNAME as the type. In the "Name" or "Host" field, enter the subdomain (e.g., "offers"). In the "Value" or "Points To" field, enter the Jtek destination (e.g.,
sites.jtek.pro). - Set the TTL to the lowest available value — TTL (Time To Live) controls how quickly DNS changes propagate. Set it to 300 seconds (5 minutes) or "Automatic" if you want changes to take effect quickly.
- Save the record — Click Save or Confirm. The DNS change is submitted. Now you wait for propagation — return to Jtek's Domains page after a few minutes to check if it shows as verified.
Assigning the Domain to a Funnel
Once your domain is verified in Jtek, you assign it to a specific funnel. After that, your funnel is live at your custom domain instead of the default Jtek URL.
- Confirm the domain shows as Verified in Settings → Domains — The domain status should change from "Pending Verification" to "Verified" (shown in green). If it still shows pending after 24 hours, check that the CNAME record is correct in your registrar.
- Open the funnel you want to assign the domain to — Go to Sites → Funnels and click the funnel.
- Go to Funnel Settings — Click the Settings icon or tab at the top of the funnel.
- Find the Domain section and click the dropdown — Select your verified custom domain from the dropdown list.
- Click Save — Your funnel is now live at your custom domain. Test it by visiting the domain in your browser — you should see your funnel load instantly.
