Funnels vs. Websites
Jtek lets you build both funnels and full websites. They serve different purposes — knowing which to use is the first decision you'll make for any campaign.
- A funnel is laser-focused on one goal — No navigation menu. No "About" page. No distractions. A visitor lands on the page and has one choice: take the action (opt in, book, buy) or leave. That constraint drives conversions.
- A website is for browsing — Multiple pages, full navigation, content that helps visitors explore. Great for your main business presence but not optimized for converting cold traffic to leads.
- Use a funnel when running ads — If you're sending paid traffic anywhere, send it to a funnel — not your homepage. A dedicated landing page with one CTA always outperforms a general website.
- Funnels can have multiple steps — An opt-in page can lead to a thank-you page, which can lead to an upsell page. Each step has its own URL and is optimized for that moment in the flow.
- Both are built in Jtek Sites — Go to Sites in the left sidebar to access both Funnels and Websites. They share the same drag-and-drop builder.
Creating a New Funnel
Creating a funnel in Jtek takes less than a minute. You name it, and then start adding steps and building the page content.
- Go to Sites in the left sidebar — Click the Sites icon (it may appear as "Funnels" depending on your sidebar layout). This opens the Sites section.
- Click the Funnels tab — At the top of the Sites section, switch to the Funnels tab to see all existing funnels and the option to create a new one.
- Click "+ New Funnel" — A modal appears asking you to name the funnel.
- Name your funnel descriptively — Use the campaign name and goal, for example: "Free Home Value Report Opt-In" or "Buyer Lead Facebook Ad March 2026." A clear name helps you find it later and identify which campaign it belongs to.
- Click Create — Your funnel is created and you're taken to the funnel steps view where you'll add pages and build content.
Adding Funnel Steps
A funnel is made up of steps — each step is a separate page with its own URL. You define the sequence: leads go from Step 1 to Step 2 after completing the action on each page.
- In the funnel view, click "+ Add Step" — This adds a new page to your funnel sequence. Name the step (e.g., "Opt-in Page," "Thank You Page," "Upsell Page").
- Understand the step URL structure — Each step gets its own path. Step 1 might be
/home-value-report, Step 2 might be/home-value-report/thank-you. You can customize these paths. - Set the step type — Choose what kind of page this step is: Opt-in Page, Thank You Page, Sales Page, Upsell, Downsell, etc. This helps Jtek display the correct analytics for each step type.
- Reorder steps by dragging — You can drag steps up or down to change the order if your funnel sequence changes.
- Repeat for each page in your flow — Most simple funnels need just two steps: the opt-in (where leads submit their info) and the thank-you (where they're redirected after). More complex funnels can have 4–6 steps.
Building the Page
Each funnel step has a full drag-and-drop page builder. You add sections, customize layout and content, and style everything to match your brand — no code needed.
- Click Edit on a funnel step — This opens the Jtek page builder for that step. You'll see a blank canvas or a template if you chose one.
- Add sections using the + button — Click the + icon to add a new section. Choose from pre-built section types: Hero, Form, Features, Testimonials, CTA Button, Image, Video, and more.
- Click any element to edit it — Click directly on any text, image, button, or form element to select it. A panel on the right shows the editing options for that element.
- Customize colors, fonts, and layout — Use the right panel to change background colors, font sizes, spacing, border radius, and alignment. Apply your brand colors consistently across sections.
- Add your opt-in form — For an opt-in page, drag in a Form element. Configure the fields you want to collect (name, email, phone). Connect it to a Jtek tag or pipeline so new submissions are tracked automatically.
Previewing and Publishing
Before you send any traffic to your funnel, preview it on both desktop and mobile. Then publish — and your funnel is live at its Jtek URL or your custom domain.
- Click Preview in the builder toolbar — This opens a full-screen preview of your page at desktop width. Check that everything looks correct: headline, form, colors, button.
- Switch to mobile preview — In the preview, click the mobile icon to see the page at phone width. Check that text is readable, the form is easy to tap, and the CTA button is large enough.
- Fix any issues before publishing — Go back to the editor and adjust spacing, font sizes, or layout for mobile if anything looks off. Mobile users often make up 60–80% of funnel traffic.
- Click Publish — In the editor toolbar, click Publish. The funnel step is now live at its Jtek URL (e.g.,
app.jtek.pro/your-funnel-slug) or your custom domain if you've set one up. - Test the live URL — Open the published URL in a browser and test the full flow: fill in the form, click submit, and confirm you're redirected to the thank-you page. Check that the contact appears in Jtek Contacts.
